Baby Steps lifestyle change

I am SO happy for all the people who are interested in this lifestyle change! So happy!

One thing that really prompted this was the sheer number of people who ask or inquire to work with me but never end up doing it. Maybe it is cost, maybe what I offer is too intensive or maybe you don’t need a mentor but just some guidance. So I decided to do this lifestyle change for you all.

I wanted to clear a few things up before I kick off so you all know exactly what you’re getting yourself into (or not).

  1. This is not a “challenge”. I mean it will be challenging but there are no winners, no “who lost the most inches wins” type thing. And there isn’t actually an end… What I am aiming for is to teach you all how to implement these things (five steps) into your diet daily. For the rest of your life. Things to strive for.
  2. This is for SELF MOTIVATED INDIVIDUALS ONLY. Many of you who think you are ready are actually not. You’ll see what I mean.
  3. I have created a group on Facebook called Baby steps – nutrition lifestyle integration. 
    1. Please join this group if you want a community. One of the best ways to get and stay healthy is to surround yourself with like minded people. I want a platform for you all to do that.
    2. I will be answering questions only through this platform. (or trying to keep it just there). If you aren’t or don’t want to be a part of it you can comment below or you can comment on the way you got here (facebook or IG post). I’d like all questions public so I’m not constantly answering the same ones… And maybe we all can learn something.
    3. That being said I am not on hand 24/7 for you all. I will focus on the weekends and in my blog posts… going back to #2 – you must be self motivated to do this.
  4. I work a full time job and having paying clients I work with on the weekends/throughout the week- those are priority and please respect my time – and do not try to abuse what I am offering. You ask too many questions or go too far off topics and I may just send you a bill 😀
  5. Also! Please have fun with this – be interactive and RESPECT ONE ANOTHER. Respect yourself.

There will be five steps and each step is three weeks long. This is nearly four months worth of change – And if you’re serious there are some things you should do to ensure you keep on it or up.

  1. Obviously subscribe to this blog.  Look for the baby steps posts
  2. Join the facebook group and be active
  3. Follow the instructions
  4. Take your weight (no more than once a month) – maybe a picture, some measurements… all that jazz.
  5. Buy a food scale – you will need it eventually
  6. I recommend documenting how you feel on days you are “on” or “fall off”
    1. If you fall off for a day or a weekend – GET RIGHT BACK ON.
    2. The steps start… but they never end
  7. I also recommend a traveling water mug or four.
  8. Learn to cook. There will be recipes to try

I’d like to start this Feb 25th! So this weekend would be the first blog post regarding liquids. Stay tuned!
